GMI Transportation is the
keystone company of our organization. Founded in 1982 by President David
Snyder, the corporation has evolved from a transportation broker
organization to a full service third party provider. Although our
core competency in the early years was strictly truckload service, we
have continually and successfully introduced additional services in
order to meet the growing demands of our shippers. Our service area
knows no boundaries as we continue to provide shipping solutions for
customers throughout the USA and Canada. We continue to help our clients
to look at transportation as a variable cost, not necessarily a fixed
cost.
The backbone of any successful organization is the people
who make it work. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff has
dedicated itself to providing our clients with reliable, consistent and
personal service. They have earned a national reputation for excellence
in customer service and satisfaction. Our dispatchers take it upon
themselves to know the customer's requirements and to help provide new
shipping strategies.
GMI has employed a state-of-the-art
computer system that permits our clients to trace their own inbound
and outbound shipments. It is a system that is designed specifically
for GMI and permits us to constantly move forward in the ever demanding
world of transportation technology. It is also a system that permits GMI
to electronically interact with our clients in pursuit of improved
supply chain management.
GMI has been involved in the
transportation and logistics equation for the last 28 years, and we are
constantly increasing our value-added services and offerings. We
know that we can be a viable factor as your company considers a better
way to approach the changing demands of corporate logistics.
GMI'sexpansive equipment capabilities can provide your company with
vans, refrigerated units, flatbeds, Intermodal and specialized
equipment. We offer our customers "ONE STOP SHOPPING".
"It
remains our corporate mission to provide our customers with innovative
solutions to solve the unique requirements of the transportation
industry"
